In leaflet handouts, a local carpenter's union claimed a drywall contractor in a long running dispute over wages and benefits exposed himself publicly and is a 'danger to children.' A jury just settled $100,000 defamation suit against the union. Watch out, Perverted-Justice members. If you have wrongly accused any of your suspects of being real-life pedophiles and child predators, this article provides strong legal grounds for a successful suit against you.
And, since Xavier, who administers Perverted-Justice, asked about my agenda, I'll tell him it's about as simple as he says his agenda is. I want to see justice. But unlike him, I want to see it doled out with due process: Go ahead, ruin the lives of the real pedophiles, but only with the benefit of police investigations and a court of law. What I see, aside from their 29 successful convictions, they're ruining hundreds of lives without due process by posting the images, phone numbers, home addresses, work locations, etc., of unconvicted suspects and suspects who've been cleared by law enforcement and the courts. Not to mention how they go after anyone who objects to them, posting the private e-mail of another reporter who gave them an unfavorable review, and even accusing a prominent attorney representing some of the suspects of being a member of the Man Boy Love Association. To me, this is a travesty of justice, so I felt I had no choice but to report.
Oh, and about being biased - I gave Xavier ample opportunity to answer my questions. He refused because he didn't like my angle. And the evidence I gathered on his site (some of which he posted in comments to my previous blog) doesn't prove anything. Just that there are a lot of messed up people in cyberspace, many of whom have no perspective on real life. Which reminds me, I'd like to get back to mine.
